Junior Cycle CSPE at Finn Valley College
CSPE is a short course and an important part of the wellbeing programme in Finn Valley College, studied by all Junior Cycle students.
Students study 3 strands:
- Rights and Responsibilities
- Global Citizenship
- Exploring Democracy
There is a strong focus on student action, aimed at giving students an experience of active citizenship.
Students complete actions each year, and one of these is used as their CBA grade for CSPE.
Students are encouraged to become active citizens forging links to their local communities, developing communication and leadership skills.
